Serbia will receive four Mi-35 helicopters and three Mi-17 helicopters from Russia in the first quarter of 2020, said the Minister of Defense of that country, Alexander Vulin, on the RTS state channel following a visit to Moscow and Rostov-on-Don.

Vulin visited Rostvertol Helicopter Plant in Rostov, and met with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu in Moscow. He also attended the final of the Tank Biathlon discipline as part of the International Army Games.

“We’ve never had as much joint activity with Russia as we do now,” the minister concluded, adding that military-technical cooperation, training and experience will continue.

Recall that last month Serbia received 10 new BRDM-2 vehicles from Russia. Prior to this, in 2017 and 2018, MiG-29 aircraft arrived from Russia and Belarus.
