The authorities of Russia and Armenia, continuing cooperation to assist the people of Syria, who suffered during the armed conflict, sent a new batch of humanitarian aid to the republic, reports the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia on Tuesday, August 13.
Thus, the Russian-Armenian Center for the Humanitarian Response sent over 52 tons of canned meat and 45 tons of canned fish, 40 tons of sugar, as well as rations with a total weight of 14.5 tons to residents of the Arab Republic.
In Syria, humanitarian aid will be handed over to the Red Crescent, who will deal with the further distribution of food.
As News Front previously reported, Armenia began to cooperate with Russia in the framework of the humanitarian program in Syria, sending there last winter a contingent of sappers, medical staff and employees ensuring the safety of specialists.
