One person was killed and 12 injured, according to New York City Mayor, in a Saturday shooting at an event in Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood. Footage filmed on Sunday shows emergency services’ personnel collecting evidence near the Brownsville playground.
The shooting happened at what Mayor Bill de Blasio called a “peaceful” Old Timers Day gathering, with one of the injured dying of wounds later in a hospital and another one remaining in a critical condition.
“What happened last night interrupted an event, the old timers’ event that has been held successfully and peacefully for decades,” stressed the mayor.
The details of the incident are being investigated by the New York Police Department.
