A migration agreement signed between the United States and Guatemala on Friday will last for two years and its implementation will be reviewed every three months, the Guatemalan government said.
After the agreement was announced, the Guatemalan government published a document outlining the accord, which stated that it did not oblige either party to commit funds.
The migration accord does not apply to Guatemalan citizens or nationals who are seeking asylum, the document said.
