In Croatia, at a press conference, NATO maps were shown that were not intended for the general public. The confusion provoked a leadership reaction: representatives of the military bloc had to contact editorial boards, whose journalists filmed an appeal by Defense Minister Damir Krstichevich.
During a conference on the terrorist attack in Afghanistan, as a result of which three Croatian soldiers were injured. At the press conference, a map of the accident was shown. After that, in particular, the NATO representative, Derba Richardsons, called the editorial office of Channel N1 to delete this photo.
“This photo is secret and should not have been published,” Richardson said, adding that it’s about security.
The Croatian defense minister replied that his press office had not violated anything.
“We were concerned about security, as well as informing the Croatian public,” he said.
