Algeria’s national football team received a hero’s welcome upon their arrival back in Algiers on Saturday in an open-top bus parade, after scoring their second Africa Cup title the day before.
Thousands of fans lined the streets of the capital to cheer on their favourite team and congratulate them on their victory. A giant banner reading ‘We are proud of you’ in both Arabic and Amazigh could be seen hanging from the team’s bus.
Algeria won 1-0 against Senegal in Cairo on Saturday.
