Turkey: 15 killed as van carrying migrants crashes in eastern Van province

At least 15 people were killed and more than 20 injured after a van carrying migrants crashed in Turkey’s Van Province on Thursday.

The van reportedly drove off the road into a ditch near Ozalp close to Turkey’s border with Iran.

Footage shows emergency workers on the scene of the incident.

According to Van Province Governor Mehmet Emin Binmez, the vehicle is believed to have carried migrants from Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
