Reparation was underway at Hong Kong’s Legislative Council building on Wednesday, as it remained sealed off after protesters stormed and vandalised the city’s chamber on Wednesday.
Workers and police officers were seen on site. Footage also shows broken windows on the building’s facade.
In the early hours of Tuesday, Hong Kong police evicted demonstrators who had spent hours inside the Legislative Council building in a protest marking the anniversary of the city’s handover from the UK to China.
Protesters occupying the council building demanded the resignation of Chief Executive Carrie Lam and full withdrawal of the currently suspended extradition bill.
