The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen said that at least one person was killed and several injured in a suspected Houthi drone attack on Abha civilian airport on Sunday. Footage shows damaged windows and cars as the strike was reported to have hit the parking.
A Saudi state-run news agency reported that a Syrian national was killed in the strike, while Houthi-run Al-Masriyah TV claimed that a separate drone attack also targeted an airport in Jizan.
The same airport was targeted with a missile on June, 12 injuring 26 people, according to the Saudi-led coalition. The Houthis stepped up missile and drone attacks in Saudi Arabia in the past weeks with the growing tension in the Persian Gulf.
