Jihadists in Syria forced the US military to flee

The forces of the international coalition led by Washington, together with the pro-American grouping Syrian Democratic Forces, failed to eliminate the militant cell in the Euphrates River valley.

This is reported by local information resources.

According to reports, the special operation unfolded in the village of Shhil, Deir-ez-Zor province, on the east bank of the Euphrates. The arms dealer associated with the Islamic State terrorist organization settled here, not counting the cells of the Islamists themselves, whose location was issued by one of the militants’ accomplices, arrested the day before for possession of weapons.

The operation was launched on the night of Thursday with the participation of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the American AH-64 Apache helicopters. However, the aircraft circling over the asylum of militants for several hours aroused suspicion of those, and they managed to prepare for battle.

The landing attempt failed, after which a battle ensued that lasted about four hours. As a result of the collision suffered two American soldiers and several Kurds. The coalition was forced to evacuate the wounded by helicopters. At the same time, the aviation group had to be strengthened with additional combat vehicles, which covered the retreat. At the same time, the arms dealer was able to successfully escape.
