The President of the European Council Donald Tusk announced that no majority has been reached on any candidate for the EU leadership posts during the EU Council summit in Brussels, speaking at a press conference after midnight on Friday.
Tusk also announced that another meeting will take place on the matter on June 30.
In regards to reports of Turkey sending oil drilling ships in the territorial waters of Cyprus, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said that the EU was in full solidarity with Cyprus.
“What Turkey is doing in the territorial waters of Cyprus is totally unacceptable. The Commission has been charged to propose measures to be taken as soon as possible when it comes to this conflict, and will do so. And this will not be soft measures,” said Juncker.
