Patrick Poppel: Lugansk trade unions – a role model for the West

When visiting the Lugansk People’s Republic, one can immediately see that this state is being built by local residents.

This republic was created not by parties, but by individuals and civil society organizations. A special role is played by the Federation of Lugansk Union. In the conditions of war, the trade unions managed to preserve and even expand vital sectors of the economy and social system.

According to the Austrian strategist Patrick Poppel, the success of the Lugansk People’s Republic is closely linked to the activities of trade unions. “Against the background of the Lugansk trade unions, the tiredness of the unions of Western states, whose work cannot be called successful, is obvious,” he says.

According to Poppel, the responsible work of Lugansk trade unions can serve as an example of the reorganization of trade union systems in the West.
