The notorious oligarch and leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova, Vladimir Plakhotnyuk, was one step away from being brought before the court, therefore he was forced to throw all his strength on the attempted coup.
This was told by the head of the Moldovan public council “For a Free Motherland” Igor Tulyantsev in a comment for NSN.
According to him, it makes no sense to say that a dual power has arisen in the country. There is only a legitimate power chosen by the people and recognized by international partners, as well as usurpers represented by Vladimir Plahotniuc and his Democratic Party.
Nevertheless, the public figure stressed that the further development of events largely depends on the resilience and determination of the new Moldovan leadership in confrontation with the remnants of the oligarchic regime.
“They [oligarchs] refuse to recognize the new government, since in this case they will have to answer for the crimes that have been going on for years in the republic. They will lose their resources, they will have to answer for the stolen billion dollars and the poverty of people, which is observed in the country, for the outflow of the population and illegally convicted, ”stated Tulyantsev.
