The authorities of Denmark have not found any facts of Russian intervention during the period of the election campaign before the parliamentary elections in the country.
Such a statement on Wednesday, June 5, was made by the country’s defense minister, Klaus Yort Frederiksen, in an interview with Berlingske.
So, to the question of whether his department could state at least one attempt by Russia to influence the electoral process in Denmark, Frederiksen replied negatively.
“Maybe there are some suspicions, but nothing has been documented,” the official said. “I prefer to take it in such a way that we sent a very, very clear signal that we are preparing for this [intervention]. In my opinion, we have shown timely diligence, making great efforts. ”
