European strategy in Africa collapsed

The horrendous refugee flows from African countries are a clear demonstration that decades of European development assistance to African countries has been in vain, the founder of the Suvorov Institute in Austria, Patrick Poppel, told Monday, June 3 in commentary to News Front Deutsch.

Simply put, since the colonial era there have been no significant changes in the African strategy of the European states, and African countries simply are not allowed to be independent and self-sufficient, although this is the only way that can save the continent, Poppel explained.

At the same time, he stated that “today’s development assistance provides only suitable conditions for the further exploitation of raw materials.”
