Former Austrian Chancellor, Sebastian Kurz, was interviewed by members of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Counter-Terrorism (BVT), in Vienna on Wednesday, on matters related to the processes in the protection of the Constitution.
According to reports, Kurz was questioned about the search conducted earlier in March on the house of Martin Sellner, head of the far-right Identitarian Movement of Austria, in relation to the Christchurch mosque shootings on March 15.
The former Chancellor was also reportedly interrogated about the Ibiza scandal video of former FPO leader Heinz-Christian Strache, and his relationship with the former FPO Interior Minister Herbert Kickl.
BVT is an Austrian security agency with an intelligence-related mandate. The main area of responsibility of the BVT is the protection of constitutional institutions of the Republic of Austria as well as their ability to act.
