A man has reportedly stabbed at least 16 people, most of them children, in the town of Kawasaki near Tokyo on Tuesday.
Reports say the as-yet-unidentified attacker died from self-inflicted wounds, along with at least one young girl.
Footage shows the area around the park closed off by police tape, as officers secure the scene from gathered media.
US President Donald Trump, who is in Japan on a four-day visit, has sent his condolences, saying that “all Americans stand with the people of Japan.”
