Leader of the Brexit Party Nigel Farage cast his vote in the European elections at a polling station in London on Thursday.
Farage’s Brexit Party is expected to win the most votes in UK, while the Labour Party led by Jeremy Corbyn is forecast to come second.
A total of 751 Members of the European Parliament will be elected over the weekend, representing 512 million citizens of the 28 member states. Polling stations in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom were the first to open on Thursday.
Britons are voting to elect their 73 MEPs as the United Kingdom, which is set to leave the European Union, extended the Brexit deadline beyond the elections.
It remains unclear what relationship the UK will have with the EU once Brexit is finalized.
