‘Errand Boy’: US Attorney General Barr Says Congress Seeks to Undermine POTUS

The US attorney general stood by his decisions and beliefs regarding the numerous Congressional investigations into the White House and allegations against government agencies that they had spied on Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.
US Attorney General William Barr said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal that what news website Mediaite described as an “aggressive posture” against numerous Congressional investigations of US President Donald Trump and his team is a result of his fears of possible damage to the institution of the US presidency.

Barr also served as the US attorney general during the administration of President George H.W. Bush.
In a separate interview with the Journal last week, Barr insisted that “government power was used to spy on American citizens,” without going into specifics.
