Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has urged “friends” including China and Russia to take “concrete action” to safeguard the 2015 nuclear deal, AFP reported. The United States withdrew from the agreement a year ago and re-imposed sanctions on Tehran.

Zarif also told Iranian state media before leaving Japan on his way to China that remaining signatories of Iran’s nuclear deal should act to save the accord as “supportive statements” are not enough.
