One of the leaders of the Moldavian political association “ACUM” and the unsettled mayor of Chisinau, Andrei Năstase, threatens the head of the Democratic Party, Vladimir Plahotniuc with new investigations, this time in the departments that are not under his control.
According to Năstase, he personally decided to divert the government of Great Britain from Brexit with his request to conduct an investigation regarding Plahotniuc’s corruption schemes. However, similar requests were sent to other EU countries, as well as international organizations.
The parliamentarian explained his decision by the “power” of Plahotniuc, who keeps all Moldovan prosecutors on a short leash, which allows him to remain unpunished, but he can no longer subjugate the European ones.
“I intend to send the appeal to Venezuela, if there is an opportunity to achieve a decision on the return of the finances stolen by this man along with Ilan Shor and others. I will apply, regardless of whether it is Russia, Venezuela, Britain or the United States,” he stressed.
Earlier, Andrei Nastase has already sent a request to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. He asked for information regarding criminal cases against Plahotniuc. Nevertheless, he himself, according to some sources, refused to testify to Russian investigators.
