Moscow: Tehran’s Roll-Back on Nuke Deal Provoked by External Pressure on Iran

Earlier in the day, the Islamic Republic announced that it would be suspending several commitments within the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), commonly known as the Iranian nuclear deal, for a 60-day period, adding that the country has no intention to withdraw from the agreement completely.
According to Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Tehran’s backtracking on the agreement was due to external pressure.

Tehran’s decision to temporarily refuse to follow certain restrictions on uranium enrichment comes precisely one year after Washington announced the US’ withdrawal from the JCPOA and the re-introduction of sanctions against Iran.
