There won’t be any real negotiations with Labour – here’s why

Last week, everyone began to talk about the fact that May and Corbyn had no way out – the electorate was tired of Brexit, and was ready to go over to the side of the libdem, Farage, bald devil, just to finish everything.

In the end, it turns out, the only chance is to urgently kick hands and finish the negotiations, which lasted from April, at least with some kind of deal. But no, it will not.

Lately, news coming from Downing Street was disappointing – both Corbyn and May delegated authority to their deputies, and Starmer and Hammond worked with documents, barking, frowning, taking pictures, silent, drinking tea, coffee, gin – and the process was on place

And damn it, it is not surprising. Attempts by Theresa May to compromise looked like this: “hello, this is a slightly renamed deal, sign it. Concessions? What concessions?”

It is clear why conservatives cannot agree to the Labor condition in the form of a customs union – because the conservative party will immediately fall apart in two, one half will go to Farage, the second half will remain truncated and crippled “true Tories.”

It is clear why Labor does not mitigate its conditions – they are fine with it, if the Tories fall apart or if the population continues to blame the government for all the mess that goes on.

Certainly, the situation suits both sides, if only because it is convenient to apologize to Europe. “We are negotiating with the opposition” a much more acceptable and decent phrase – much better than “we are not able to achieve anything, and we are dragging out time.”

That is why no real negotiations were conducted and wont be conducted in the foreseeable future.

Alas, unfortunately for the population of Great Britain, the bipartisan system means that in order to win you do not need to get out of power – if your opponent is limp, like a snowman in the May sun, then you just need to be only a little harder and more collected. Who remained standing, he takes everything.

Instead of national salvation, Corbin smokes and watches Theresa melt in the sun. And libdems and others are too low positions to pose a threat.

Laborites really behave like schoolchildren sitting on the fence of a neighbor’s garden — either go steal apples, or go home and read a book. But for today’s semi-paralyzed conservatives this is enough, so what’d be the point of putting up effort?
