Germany named conditions for lifting anti-Russian sanctions: Berlin proved willing to engage in dialogue

After meeting with the delegation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation headed by First Vice-Speaker Alexander Zhukov, the Vice-President of the Bundestag, Thomas Operman, stated that the implementation of the Minsk agreements is necessary to lift the sanctions against Moscow.

“We are confident that the chance of lifting the sanctions on Russia is real. The prerequisite for this is that we will continue in the “Normandy format” negotiations on the conflict in the east of Ukraine and on the implementation of the Minsk agreements in the interests of both parties, ”said the Vice President of the Bundestag.

According to Operman, if he sees “reaching an agreement”, then there will be an opportunity for the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions.
