The coup d’état initiated by the self-proclaimed “president” of Venezuela, Juan Guado, has already killed at least two people. Over 130 were injured.
According to reports, riots erupted in the Bolivarian Republic against the backdrop of a recent call by Guaido to overthrow legitimate power. On May 2, he promised to begin a series of actions of disobedience, which were already marked by clashes with the police. Law enforcement officers began to throw Molotov cocktails. Those, in turn, are trying to disperse the violators by using rubber bullets and tear gas.
It is noteworthy that President Nicolas Maduro, called for a “day of negotiations, proposals and actions” in early May. He noted that he would like to see constructive initiatives that could be used in the “big plan of change” of Venezuela. “I want to approve a plan that will allow everything to be corrected and improved at the height of the confrontation,” Maduro said.
However, Guaido today only published on social networks a map of the country indicating the locations of the actions, which are estimated to about four hundred.
