Slovakia admits that the US authorities can use the territory of the country to deploy their bases with nuclear weapons. The corresponding statement was made by Peter Marcek, head of the faction “Voice of the People” and a member of the national parliament.
The politician said that Washington has a huge impact on the government of Slovakia. The question of the deployment of military bases is solved behind closed doors and carefully masked.
Slovakia has begun a large-scale modernization of military airports. Such activity may indicate their fast transfer under the US air force bases. The deputy admits that the Sliač airport will become a territory for the storage of weapons, including nuclear ones. The barracks are likely to be occupied by US troops.
