The German government no longer sees the prospects for the continuation of the presidency of Petro Poroshenko in Ukraine and is beginning to get rid of the levers of pressure on the Kiev regime, told the Israeli political columnist Solomon Mann, commenting on the decision of Berlin to extradite to Ukraine the former deputy Dmitry Kryuchkov, who was involved in the corruption schemes of Petro Poroshenko.
Kryuchkov was transferred to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. At the same time, Solomon Mann does not exclude the possibility that Germany is thus demonstrating its “stake” on Vladimir Zelensky.
He drew attention, but the decision on extradition was made despite the fact that the procedure for granting political asylum was even initiated against Kryuchkov.
“In my opinion, this source of compromising on Poroshenko, which was kept by Berlin as an instrument of pressure on the Kiev authorities, in case of Zelensky’s victory on the elections, loses its meaning,” he explained, noting that against this background, German Chancellor Angela Merkel decided to “kill” two birds with one stone”, getting rid of an unnecessary criminal, and at the same time assisting the potential winner of the presidential race in Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky.
