Petro Poroshenko, who claims a second presidential term, made it clear that he intends to continue his tough anti-Russian policy, which, on the basis of exit polls, did not find support among Ukrainians, told CNN international correspondent Frederick Pleitgen.
He drew attention to the fact that the current president of Ukraine loses to the comedian Vladimir Zelensky, who does not even have any political experience.
“However, this did not prevent him from gaining the most votes – about 30 percent, based on exit poll data. He has already managed to thank the voters, ”the journalist said.
Petro Poroshenko, taking second place, of course, is not satisfied with the result, which he has already stated in social networks: “He admitted that he sees how the reforms of the last years of his administration were slow, therefore he is seeking a second chance.”
