Palestine: At least 8 injured by Israeli forces at uni protest

At least eight Palestinian protesters were reportedly injured by rubber-coated bullets as Israeli soldiers fired on a demonstration near Birzeit University in the West Bank, near Ramallah on Wednesday.

Footage shows Israeli forces firing weapons at Palestinian protesters, who in turn hurled rocks, burned tyres and set Israeli forces’ vehicles ablaze.

Dozens reportedly suffered from teargas inhalation as Israeli forces fired teargas bombs at demonstrators.

The protest was reportedly triggered by Israeli mistreatment of Palestinian prisoners as well as by a reported kidnapping of three Palestinian students from the dorms of Birzeit University by undercover Israeli forces on Tuesday. The students’ whereabouts remain unknown.
