UK Gov’t Buys Luxury NYC Flat for $16 mln for Official to Secure Post-Brexit Trade Deals

Downing Street has spent $15.9m (£12m) on a seven-bedroom penthouse apartment for Antony Philipson, the British consul general in New York and trade commissioner for North America.
Philipson has been appointed to his role in October 2017 and was tasked to “lead trade and investment promotion and trade policy throughout the North American region.”
