Some 1.6 million people came to Istanbul’s Yenikapi Square for a rally of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) ahead of the local elections in the country, the Daily Sabah newspaper reported Sunday.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, former Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahceli are expected to address the rally, according to the Daily Sabah newspaper.
