A rescue ship owned by Italian NGO Mediterranea with 49 migrants on board docked at the Italian island of Lampedusa on Tuesday.
Footage shows migrants, who were rescued from a dinghy off the coast of Libya on Monday, disembarking, bidding farewell to their rescuers.
According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, over 18,000 migrants have died trying to reach the shores of southern Europe since 2014.
