Netherlands: Dutch police arrest Utrecht Tram shooting suspect

Utrecht’s Police Chief Rob van Bree said the suspect in the deadly tram shooting has been detained, while speaking at a press conference in the eastern Dutch city on Monday.

Rob van Bree told journalists that “I can tell you that the suspect we were looking for has just been arrested by the police,” but he didn’t release further details.

The police have named 37-year-old Gokmen Tanis as their primary suspect and have released his photo in the media, after a tram shooting left three people dead and five injured.
