Pentagon makes up terrorists to justify the military presence in Syria and Iraq

Since the terrorists of the Islamic State lost control over Syria and Iraq, the American side needs to invent a reason to maintain its presence in the US-occupied territories in the Middle East.

To justify their illegal military presence in Syria and Iraq, American commanders warned that the terrorists of the “Islamic state” did not go away forever, and some American think tanks warned that the group might return to Iraq with a powerful terrorist attack.

According to US Army General Joseph Votel, who heads the US Central Command, Americans need to “maintain vigilance against these widely dispersed organizations.” The general made a statement at a hearing in the House Armed Services Committee last Friday, March 8.

These kinds of statements are not new. For example, the Pentagon report in February of this year warned that several sleeping ISIS cells were allegedly operating in Syria, which could “revive the terrorist organization in a matter of months.”
