The Ukrainian army has shelled the positions of people’s militia in the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) 15 times over the past 24 hours, the LPR defense ministry said on Friday.
“The shelling targeted the areas of Pervomaisk, Zolotoye-5, the urban-type settlements of Frunze and Kalinovo, the villages of Zhelobok, Smeloye, Kalinovo-Borshchevatoye, Vesyolaya Gora and Sokolniki,” the LuganskInformCenter news agency quoted a spokesman for the LPR people’s militia as saying.
According to the spokesman, the fire was conducted from artillery guns, mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms.
