UPS Stops Package Deliveries to Swedish ‘No-Go Zone’ After Drivers Assaulted

The US shipping giant has stopped delivering parcels to one of Sweden’s “most multicultural” town’s notorious “no-go zones”, amid a wave of attacks on its personnel from locals. UPS is merely following in the footsteps of Sweden’s own national post service, PostNord, which last year halted mail delivery to parts of Stockholm and Malmö.
For two months, the US company UPS hasn’t made any home deliveries to Malmö’s blighted district of Rosengård, citing accompanying risks, the Swedish newspaper Expressen reported; approximately 90 percent of the neighbourhood’s population is not ethnically Swedish.
