Moscow Urges India, Pakistan to Show Restraint Amid Escalated Tensions

Moscow is closely following the recent escalation of the Indian-Pakistani tensions and calls for the relevant parties to show restraint, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.

“We are deeply concerned over the coming news, follow the situation and, of course, urge the parties to show restraint,” the spokesman said.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan’s army press service stated that its combat jets shot down two Indian Air Force aircraft that had allegedly violated Pakistani airspace over Kashmir. Representatives of the Indian authorities have not yet commented on this information.
