Around 200 protesters rallied outside the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bogota on Monday to protest the Lima Group meeting about the ongoing crisis in Venezuela.
Demonstrators chanted various slogans critical the regional bloc and interventionism in Venezuela.
The protest organised by human rights groups and social organisations.
One protester said, “We’d like to tell the world that we’re ashamed that the illegal ‘Lima Group’ is on Colombian soil working with the United States to figure out what the best moment would be to attack and destroy Venezuela.”
The so called ‘Lima Group’ is a group of mostly Latin American countries who seek a peaceful exit to the crisis in Venezuela and oppose the current government of President Nicolas Maduro.
