Washington Will Not Succeed In Creating A Pro-western Alliance In Moldova

It is quite expected that the United States after the parliamentary elections in Moldova will try to put pressure on the local pro-Western political forces in order to form a single coalition of them, only Washington does not take into account one important factor.

About this on Friday, February 22, said the head of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon in an interview with the agency “TASS”.

According to the president, he is quite ready for such interference from the United States, because there have already been attempts to form such an alliance, only he cannot exist for a long time.

“In the event that the USA compels the ruling Democratic Party and the Acum bloc [unification of the Platform Dignity and Truth and Action and Solidarity parties] into a coalition, then, based on their basic law, I will have to approve their prime minister -minister, and I will do it. But I am sure that in half a year they will bite and lock each other down , which has already happened the last time, ”said Dodon.

The head of state also assured that he is ready to lead people to protest if this “pro-Western coalition” is formed in dubious ways: “There is, however, a second option. Democrats can lure deputies from other parties to create a strange alliance, but then they will not have legitimacy. ”

Dodon noted that during the last two years he did everything to avoid an escalation of tension, but the situation is changing dramatically. He stressed that the people simply would not understand if a new wave of lawlessness would not be given a decisive rebuff.
