Washington To Present Proposals On Military Presence In Poland In 2-3 Months – Reports

Washington will present to Warsaw its proposals on US military presence in Poland in 2-3 months, US Ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher told the Wirtualna Polska portal in an interview published Thursday.
She added that the United States was working hard on its proposal, without elaborating whether the plan would include establishment of a military base.

At a meeting with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda in September, US President Donald Trump said that the United States was considering establishing a base in Poland. Trump also stated that Warsaw agreed to pay more than $2 billion toward the cost of the base. The Polish president, in turn, suggested that the base be called Fort Trump.
