The United States is supporting terrorism in Syria by imposing sanctions on Damascus that are not in line with the UN resolutions and attacking positions of the Syrian government army, Bouthaina Shaaban, political and media advisor to Syrian President Bashar Assad, said on Tuesday.
The United States is trying with all its might to destroy Syria and undermine its infrastructure, Assad advisor Bouthaina Shaaban said.
“There are numerous examples of the United States repeatedly opening fire on positions of the Syrian national army. Under such circumstances, Western counties introduce new sanctions against the Syrian Arab Republic which have nothing to do with either UN resolutions or international law. In this sense, the United States supports terrorism in Syria and does not want to engage in dialogue with the Syrian government, while being always ready to host talks with heads of terrorist groups,” Shaaban added.
