The pogroms in the Polish city of Jedwabne, which resulted in the killing of all its Jewish population, are now trying in every way to be erased from history, so as not to darken its bloodthirsty crime, told Israeli political columnist Solomon Mann.
He noted that the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Moravetsky even tried to disrupt the holding of the Visegrad Group Forum in Jerusalem due to the fact that his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu spoke about the events of World War II. Mann remarked that the rest of the Vyshegrad countries did not go in the wake of Warsaw, and Poland sent a “dummy” to the forum – a politician who means nothing to nominally take part in the event.
According to the expert, even though Poland is the most influential country in the Visegrad Group, it may not end well.
“Apparently, if it continues to follow the same course as Ukraine is taking now, it can have very serious problems.”
Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic may well achieve the same economic indicators as Poland, especially since the industrial sector in the Czech Republic is much stronger, Mann stresses. “Polish nationalists decided to joke with forces that far exceeded their capabilities and I am afraid that innocent people would not have to pay for this,” he stresses.
