Hundreds of nationalists and right-wing activists held a torchlit procession in Kiev on Saturday to mark the 125th year anniversary of the founding of all Ukrainian ‘Sokil’ (falcon) organisation.
The protesters marched through the streets of the Ukrainian capital carrying Sokil flags and banners and chanting nationalistic slogans.
The Sokil was founded in 1894 and but banned by the Bolsheviks as a nationalist organisation in 1939. The group was re-established in 2006.
