Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed a strike had taken place in southern Syria before he boarded a plane in Tel Aviv on Tuesday.
“We operate every day, including yesterday, against Iran, all the time against Iran and against its attempts to entrench itself in the region,” Netanyahu told reporters, confirming a strike had indeed taken place despite a previous policy of ambiguity.
Netanyahu was heading to a joint US-Polish coordinated summit in Warsaw and is scheduled to meet with US Vice President Mike Pence and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
