The point of view of ordinary Moldovans is very similar to the position of the same simple Ukrainians: they are interested in profitable alliances for their own country, understanding the importance of partnership with Russia, but the influence of the West and the elites it controls do not take into account the voice of the people. On this on Tuesday, February 12, said the representative of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova, Vladimir Bukarsky.
According to him, it is difficult to argue with the fact that Russia is the main market for Moldovan products, and therefore cooperation with Moscow is vital. The people take this aspect into account, but the pro-Western authorities of the republic ignore it, he stressed.
Thus, he continued, it is worth ending the parliamentary elections in Moldova, the American embassy will come into action, demanding from everybody a little pro-Western political forces to unite: “They will start to persuade all forces that are in favor of European integration, although they cannot tolerate each other, begin to persuade to form a new pro-Western coalition “.
At the same time, he did not rule out that the victory of the Party of Socialists could end in a color revolution in the best traditions of the Ukrainian Maidan, especially since in Moldova this kind of action took place.
“We have already seen this several times. For the first time, these are known events of the late 80s – early 90s. Then, the stormy protests of Yuri Rosca [the former head of the Christian Democratic People’s Party, advocated the accession of Moldova to Romania] against the introduction of the course of the history of Moldova, since most of them still believe that it is necessary to teach the Romanian history. Then there were protests against the negotiations on the plan [of the presidential representative for trade and economic relations with Moldova Dmitry] Kozak with the MRT. They managed to deny the possibility of signing this agreement. And the notorious events of April 7, 2009, when they defeated the presidential palace, defeated the parliament and burned the original declaration of independence of Moldova, ”said Bukarsky.
