Washington made Warsaw another “offer that cannot be refused”, having decided to deliver a double blow to the country under the bravura slogans of partnership.
The Rzeczpospolita edition on Tuesday, February 12, citing a source in diplomatic circles reports that the Polish authorities received a very ambiguous offer from “overseas partners.” It means that Warsaw personally put an end to cooperation with China and Iran. In exchange, Washington will kindly provide Poland with excellent targets for Russian defense systems — American military bases.
At the same time, the publication emphasizes that for the country such a proposal is a “challenge”, given the plans of Warsaw to get Chinese investments in infrastructure. Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland for a long time tried not to intervene in the conflict with Iran, while in Washington they do not even hide the fact that they plan to use the Warsaw conference to increase pressure on Tehran.
This “bright perspectives” does not end there, because if Warsaw is led by Washington, it will jeopardize relations with Germany, France and other EU countries, which only began to improve after the scandal with the Polish judicial reform.
And as a “reward” for the whole range of problems, Poland will receive new American military bases. “The United States is working to improve the proposal by expanding its military presence,” said the source.
Thus, in addition to the impact on the economy and foreign policy, Warsaw will also receive an additional opportunity to become a target for the Russian defense systems, which, as has been said many times in Moscow, are aimed at objects that pose a potential threat to the security of the Russian Federation.
