Israel’s Defense Forces arrested five Palestinians crossing the Gaza border into Israel on Sunday morning.The five Palestinians who breached the security fence were unarmed and handed over to the Shin Bet security service for questioning.
Palestinians from the Hamas-run enclave often attempt to cross the Gaza border into Israel, knowing the security risks it involves.

Gaza border with weekly demonstrations that often turn violent. On Thursday, Channel 12 reported that Israel sent a message to Hamas warning of a military campaign if the violent border protests continue.
“Israel can make tough decisions during elections and is not afraid of a military campaign,” the message conveyed to Hamas via Egypt reportedly said.
