Serbian politician: Seems like Bosnia waits for migrants to pull it out of crisis

The deputy leader of the NSSD party, Nikola Špiric, said that “everything except migrants stopped moving in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it seems that only the Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska notices this.”

“The actions of international humanitarian organizations are periodical, the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees is silent …”, warned Špiric.

Spiric told the agency Srna that there is no institution or full-fledged leadership in Bosnia and Herzegovina, no one is worried about people who have arrived without documents, whose children already go to school, who will soon become the care of everyone who lives in this country.

“Undoubtedly, every person should be provided with conditions for a decent life, especially for refugees without a roof over their heads, but this is a problem for strong Germany, not to mention a divided BiH in which there is no census of its own population!” Špiric said.

He recalled that the Ministry of the Interior of the Republika Srpska announced that last year about 4,500 migrants were registered, and more than 100 pupils from migrant families were admitted to schools in the city of Bihac. All this suggests that new processes are taking place that will change the demographic, religious and political picture in the society of BiH.

“The answer to the new challenges should be strong authorities, good coordination of the police and other agencies, but BiH seems to be waiting for migrants to pull it out of the crisis,” he said.
