Greece’s parliament has ratified an agreement with neighbouring Macedonia to end a long-running naming dispute that has prevented the Balkan country from joining the Nato alliance and starting accession talks with the EU.
Greece’s neighbour will now be known as North Macedonia after the approval in Athens and similar ratification by lawmakers in Skopje this month.
