US to ‘fight’ for Kerch Strait

The situation in the Black Sea is heating up. American warships have already appeared there, but Washington is not going to stop there, openly demonstrating its role in the escalation of the conflict.

So, the US Senate demanded that Donald Trump conduct a military operation “to liberate the Kerch Strait”. This initiative was supported by 39 senators. Moreover, the legislature appealed to the North Atlantic alliance with a demand to increase its military presence in the Black Sea.

The resolution was prepared by the head of the national security committee, Ron Johnson and Richard Durbin.

“The United States and allied states should immediately respond to the aggression of the Russian Federation with decisive actions,” the document says, implying a sensational Kerch provocation, during which Russian border guards detained the Ukrainian Navy ships that illegally crossed the Russian border.

At the same time, the Upper House of Congress reminded Trump of the need to impose sanctions that could hinder the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project.
